Subic Bay, Philippines - a unique location where modern expansion is progressing hand in hand with eco awareness. A place where we don't cut down trees to build hotels. A place where beaches are clean and garbage free. A place where the air still tastes sweet. A place you want to visit. Wee Eco Group is the tourism arm of A Wee Bit Different Event Management, a collection of local educators and business people showcasing Subic Bay's environmental diversity. Our range of Eco Tourism programs include Day Tours visiting local forest areas and bio farms, weekend Eco Day Camps for kids aged 7 to 14 and aquatic adventures through our own PADI scuba diving courses and diving day trips.
Making a Difference through Tourism We chose to focus on Eco Tourism as a way of educating visitors through fun activities. The more people who know about the unique bio zone we have in Subic, the more visitors we will attract. This benefits all levels of our community and allows us to use proceeds from our tourism efforts to fund other areas of our work. Our staff put in a lot of volunteer hours organizing local eco events such as the recent Earth Day 2010. Portions of our profits go to support local animal rescue group Wildlife In Need and to create a local biodynamic/organic food growers co-op for area farmers. We are also starting to work closely with local hotels who want to "go green", providing their management and staff with appropriate education and awareness on how they can change for the better. It's a big project converting an entire town to eco tourism but we have accepted the challenge and are taking it one step at a time. Join us on one of our awesome activities as together we make Subic Bay the number one Eco Tourism destination in the Philippines.
